JOHN S. DILEO JR.
Mr. John S. DiLeo Jr. worked side by side with his father, Mr. John S. DiLeo Sr., for over 20 years, learning Hylan Datacom & Electrical business hands-on. He controls all financial matters and business decisions for the entire organization. John also reviews daily project reports and production sheets, as does the entire senior management team, actively monitoring the progress and status of all jobs. In his role as President, he carries on the strong client service orientation and stringent quality standards which are the family tradition. Mr. DiLeo graduated from St. John's University in 1983.
Chief Executive Officer
Mr. Robert DiLeo has more than 25 years experience in the utility, telecom & electrical industry. Prior to becoming CEO, Robert served as Vice President & COO of Hylan Datacom & Electrical. He played a key role in the development and expansion of Hylan Datacom & Electrical into emerging technologies such as fiber optic cable and wireless telephony. He also developed and implemented best-industry-practice installation procedures insuring safe, quality installations. Mr. DiLeo continues to bring innovation and excellence in his role as CEO, responding to our customers’ evolving competitive market needs.
CARMINE V. MANNA
Senior Vice President
Mr. Manna has 27 years of management experience. He has managed internationally known sports and convention facilities in New York City. While at these facilities, he was responsible for directing major construction and renovation projects. He prides himself as being a customer-driven manager who works hard to provide courteous, quality and professional workmanship to all of his clients. Mr. Manna's customer relation skills are an asset to Hylan Datacom & Electrical and our customers.
Vice President Telecom Operations
Mr. Williams has over 25 years experience in the communications industry. He is a seasoned veteran, spending the last 20 years as Project Manager on all phases of datacom / telecommunications construction. His knowledge and proven capabilities with projects include pre-planning, cost engineering, vendor pricing and selection, as well as hiring and maintaining personnel and project scheduling. Mr. Williams' outstanding leadership skills have helped him become one of the industry's best and have given him the opportunity to work in twenty U.S. States and six foreign countries.
Vice President & Chief Financial Officer
Mr. Fodrowski graduated with a Bachelor of Science degree from Fordham University in 1970. He is a Certified Public Accountant and a member of the New York State Society of CPA's. Prior to joining Hylan Datacom & Electrical, his experience included both Controller and Chief Financial Officer positions in both public and private accounting. Mr. Fodrowski is a highly respected member of our staff known for his meticulous attention to details, organizational skills, broad industry knowledge, and composed demeanor.
Mr. Roperti has over 36 years of accounting and financial experience, working throughout his career for prestigious publishing houses such as CBS, Hachette Media, and Hearst Magazines, and most recently at PPS LLC. He has held positions in various accounting, financial planning and budgeting, and supervisory functions. He is responsible for supervising the Hylan Datacom & Electrical accounting staff, and considers his attention to detail and interpersonal skills assets to the team. Mr. Roperti graduated from Pace University in 1979 with a BA in Accounting, and with an MBA in Financial Management in 1986.
Senior Project Manager
Mr. Christie is a graduate of SUNY Owego with a Bachelor of Arts in Communications, and has over 15 years experience in the datacom / telecommunications industry. His knowledge and experience with large projects include design and route engineering, cost estimating, and project scheduling. He specializes in design/build on large and small scale fiber installations, from backbone placement to customer end term locations, and bringing jobs to completion ahead of schedule, in this fast paced phase of the industry. He has been responsible for major overhaul jobs from New Jersey to NYC and through to Connecticut, and many backbone installations throughout the five boroughs. His extensive knowledge of the ECS system makes him a valuable asset to the datacom division at Hylan. Mr. Christie has been a critical part of Hylan Datacom & Electrical and his dedication, hard work and leadership skills help to make him an intricate part of this successful team.
Director of Wireless Construction/Renewable Energy
Mr. Allen is a 1987 graduate of William Paterson College with a Bachelor of Arts in Business Administration. He has 25 years of experience in the wireless and telecom industry in which he owned his own company for 12 years. He is experienced in turnkey construction, RF, various technology upgrades and indoor/outdoor DAS. He prides himself on keeping up on the latest technologies of not only DAS but renewable energy as well. Mr. Allen is an asset to Hylan Datacom & Electrical’s continuing commitment of quality in the development and expansion of emerging technologies.
Director of Heavy Highway Division
Mr. Tannor has 30 years of experience in the Heavy Highway and Public Works Sectors. He specializes in government and infrastructure projects, and has performed work at numerous New York City landmark sites, such as Citifield, The George Washington Bridge, The Brooklyn Battery Tunnel, City Hall Park, and the I 278 Viaduct (Gowanus Expressway). He prides himself on completing projects on time and on budget, providing personal attention to all phases of a project , from it’s inception to closeout. Additionally, Mr. Tannor holds a New York City Master Electrician’s License. His experience in the areas of Roadway Lighting, Traffic Signals, Power Distribution, and ITS systems, along with his Electrical Construction management skills, have allowed him to work on a diverse group of specialized bridge and highway contracts. Mr. Tannor’s experience in these areas will allow Hylan Datacom & Electrical to continue to service the needs of rebuilding New York City’s infrastructure.
GREGORY M. ROSS
Sr. Director of Engineering
Mr. Ross has over 30 years of experience in the communication industry. He has worked for Cablevision, Adelphia and Time Warner Cable, spending the last 20 years managing coax design and fiber engineering departments. Mr. Ross has overseen construction phases in NYC, Ohio and North Carolina. From system upgrades, node splits, power supplies and fiber augmentation, he has run a number of large projects for major MSO’s across the country. Most recent, Mr. Ross was regional manager for a fiber construction / design project for all of Manhattan, constructing a large count fiber ring across the city as to offer EPON and CWDM solutions for hundreds of customer’s.
Mr. Ross enhances a high level of engineering skills at Hylan, from all Outside Plant (OSP) Design / Fiber Architectures for varices providers, Coax and Fiber. To include, point to point fiber solutions, CTBH, FTTP and more. The Engineering department is responsible for all field surveys and engineering of over 800 buildings in Manhattan, using a number of engineering platforms such as AutoCAD, Microstation, and Bentley communications.
Mr. Triola is an electrical engineer with over 23 years’ experience in engineering and construction management. After starting his career as a civilian electrical engineer for the United States Army, he went on to develop a strong expertise in transportation systems working for Amtrak, New Jersey Transit, Metro North Railroad, NY MTA and the Port Authority of New York and New Jersey. This expertise has allowed him to work on rewarding projects such as the World Trade Center 9-11 PATH station restoration and other New York-area landmark locations including the Verrazano Narrows Bridge and Liberty Science Center. His broad skill set also encompasses fire alarm systems, building and facility controls, electric substations for utilities and industrial plants, pharmaceutical plant and laboratory upgrades, and large-scale retail and commercial electrical fit out. Mr. Triola’s diverse hands-on management experience is a great asset at Hylan Datacom & Electrical, where he provides support to the company as a project manager, estimator and technical support for all aspects of electrical installations.
Mr. Duskin Graduated College in 1981, with a Major in Accounting, and a Minor in Economics from Suny of New Paltz. Soon after, following in his Father’s footsteps he entered into the Electrical Industry where he has spent the last 37 years climbing up the ranks. He started working for Hylan in 1991 when he was hired as a Foreman. He ran many jobs including a project in NYC that consisted of converting a major cable company’s coax system over to fiber optics and a also a major project installing CCTV Camera’s and VMS signs on the Manhattan Bridge upgrading the structure with a state of the art ITS System. In 2005 he became a General Foreman where he supervised the Installation of the Cross Bronx Expressway ITS System and then also on the Cross Bronx Expressway he managed the installation of all new Highway, Ramp and Under Deck Lighting in 2008. Mr. Duskin was promoted to Superintendent in 2012 where his responsibilities include but are not limited to Supervising Manpower, scheduling work, purchasing materials and tools all while interfacing with both Local Union #3 and customers.
Sr. Vice President Manager of Survey & Design
Mike’s business career began in outside sales for a construction equipment company and through his involvement there Mike began developing relationships with emerging communications companies. In 1976 Mike entered into the Technical Services arena as owner of a coax splicing company, American Spliceco, Inc. He was then in 1985 able to form an alliance with Hylan Electric through founder John Dileo Sr. where Mike worked with Hylan to install over 100 miles of Coax Trunk and Distribution Cable in Brooklyn and Queens from 1985-1990. Mike was fortunate enough to develop other strong relationships with companies such Scientific Atlanta (SA) who he partnered with from 1998-2001 to provide technical services, project management, and system survey and design in over 25 countries, this company operated as Advanced Broadband System Services, Inc. and the Company’s biggest Client’s became Cox Communications and Comcast from 2004 – through the Sale of Advanced Broadband in 2008. Much of that revenue in those years came from Disaster Recovery and Storm Restoration from 2004 – 2006. In addition, the company continued to perform full turnkey technical services, focusing on system survey and design primarily for system upgrades and new commercial business applications through 2008. Mike’s strengths in new business development and operations strategy in the communications arena have afforded him a long and successful career. Mike currently is a Sr. V.P Manager of Survey and Design for Hylan.
THOMAS S. FERRIE
Mr. Ferrie has over Thirty Years of Electrical Contracting experience. This includes two decades in project management within both private and public sectors. He has effectively contributed to timely and profitable completion of multi- million dollar contracts. Mr. Ferrie has a proven record of solid career progression. As Superintendent he manages Hylan’s workforce with skill and an ease that makes him a welcome and very much valued member of the team.
Director of Electrical Construction
Mr. Ralph Viola is a graduate of Colorado State University with a Bachelor of Science degree in Industrial Construction Management and has over 36 years of experience in General and Electrical Construction. His experience in large scale construction projects in the NYC area includes working with such clients as Battery Park City Authority, Con Edison, New Jersey Transit, NYC Department of Transportation and the Triboro Bridge and Tunnel Authority. Mr. Viola has over 12 years’ experience in power plant construction throughout the US, owned and operated an Electrical and Telecommunications Construction Company in New Jersey for 21 years specializing in public sector work, and has installed over 6.5 megawatts of solar photovoltaic power systems. Along with holding electrical licenses in New Jersey and Delaware, other noted accomplishments include receipt of the Governors OSHA safety award for nine continuous years, NECA member, NABCEP certification, and implemented Agile Construction Techniques for managing labor productivity. His extensive experience and knowledge in electrical construction reinforces Hylan’s commitment to provide its clients with dependable and quality services.
Director of Field Engineering
Mr. Schwab has over 35 years of experience and has a strong record of achievement in providing the necessary telecommunication systems management and personnel motivation expertise that has ensures streamlined operation which contributes to the increased proficiency of those he manages here at Hylan. His expertise includes, Operations Management, Systems Operations, Finance, Customer Care/World Class Customer Service Installations, Field Service, Network Engineering and Construction, Technical Facilities of Network, mapping, Strategic Labor, Utility & Contractor Negotiations. Mr. Schwab’s excellent interpersonal communication skills coupled with the ability to establish and maintain a rapport with all levels of personnel, management and clients are valuable assets to Hylan’s team of leader’s.
